1. In the app
- Open Pista and sign in.
- Go to Settings›Account›Delete account
If your app is in Spanish: Ajustes › Cuenta › Eliminar cuenta. - Confirm. The account is deleted straight away and you’re signed out.
Just need a break? You can pause your profile in Settings. Nobody new will see it until you’re back, and you keep your matches and founder number.
2. By email
If you can’t get into the app, email hola@pista.one with the subject “Delete account”. To find your account, tell us:
- Your profile name and city.
- Roughly when you signed up.
- If you know it, the email on your Apple account or the private address Apple created for Pista (it usually ends in privaterelay.appleid.com).
We may ask for another detail to check the account is yours. We’ll never ask for passwords. We’ll delete it within 30 days at most from when we can confirm it’s you, and let you know once it’s done.
3. Cancel Pista+ first
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so if you have Pista+, cancel it in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Pista. Otherwise Apple will keep charging you.
4. What gets deleted and when
As soon as you delete your account, we remove from our systems:
- Your profile, photos and preferences.
- Likes you’ve sent and received, your matches and your messages.
- Plans you’ve created and your place in other plans.
- Your founder number, invite code, streak and any Boosts and Aces you had left.
- Notification tokens for your devices.
Backups roll over automatically, and within 30 days at most your data is gone from them too.
5. What we keep
- Reports: any you’ve made or received are kept for up to 12 months for the community’s safety, for example to stop banned people from coming back with a new account.
- Purchases: billing records are kept by Apple, who takes the payments, in line with its legal obligations.
- Legal obligations: if the law requires us to keep any data, we keep it restricted and unused for the period it sets.
There’s more detail in the privacy policy.
6. Disconnect Apple
If you also want to remove Pista’s access to your Apple account, go to your Apple account in iPhone Settings, find “Sign in with Apple”, choose Pista and tap the option to stop using it.
